Job description

We are seeking a skilled React / React Native Developer to join the Item & Availability UI initiative within the Me@Walmart ecosystem. In this role, you will help migrate and modernize existing standalone RFID apps (FindIt, Print, Sam's) into Me@Walmart mini-apps, redesign experiences to align with Me@Walmart UI standards, and support multi-market rollout across CA, CAM, MX, CL, and Sam's Clubs.

You'll build a unified, scalable, and stable user experience for store associates while contributing to the RFID 2.0 redesign (based on Figma and PRD), supporting production incidents, and improving performance and reliability across regions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years professional experience in React and React Native

  • Strong React Native experience building production-grade mobile apps

  • Experience with state management (Redux strongly preferred)

  • Strong understanding of mobile UI fundamentals:

  • Navigation

  • Performance optimization

  • Offline/edge conditions

  • Accessibility

  • Experience integrating with REST APIs and handling async workflows robustly

  • Proven ability to debug complex issues (UI + state + API) in production environments

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with strong collaboration skills * Experience with React Native 0.73.x (or close versions) and mini-app / modular app architectures

  • Experience with feature flag systems and market-based configuration patterns

  • Experience with telemetry and observability tools (Firebase, Splunk)

  • Experience with Bluetooth connectivity workflows (pairing, device management, reliability)

  • Familiarity with RFID concepts:

  • RSSI signal interpretation

  • Proximity-based UI feedback loops

  • Experience working on enterprise retail apps, especially store-associate tooling

Familiarity with event-driven patterns (e.g., Kafka-backed pipelines) and session lifecycle design
