Job description

The Global Quality Systems Team manages quality systems across Mattel. The team is responsible for organizational change management, training, system administration, system development, and user support. The team works with leaders in the Quality, Safety, Regulations, and Compliance organization to ensure that all quality systems are meeting key objectives. The objectives are to ensure systems are being fully adopted, processes are aligned, and users are supported across Mattel. These objectives help to ensure that Mattel develops, manufactures, and ships quality products which are safe and regulatory compliant. This is a new team being developed as Mattel embarks on a path of digital transformation for the Quality, Safety, Regulations, and Compliance organization., Mattel is currently seeking a Senior Quality Systems Engineer, Remote or located in El Segundo, CA. In this position you will be part of the Global Quality Systems technical team. This position reports to the Head of Global Quality Systems.

The technical team is responsible for planning, project management, solutioning, implementation, and ongoing support of various quality systems. The team works with leaders in the Quality, Safety, Regulations, and Compliance organization to ensure that all quality systems are meeting key objectives. The technical team ensures systems are being fully adopted, processes are aligned, and users are supported across Mattel. These objectives help to ensure that Mattel develops, manufactures, and ships quality products which are safe and regulatory compliant. This is a new team being developed as Mattel embarks on a path of digital transformation for the Quality, Safety, Regulations, and Compliance organization.

What Your Impact Will Be:

Joining the team on the ground floor, you will have a significant impact on the digital transformation for the Quality, Safety, Regulations, and Compliance organization. In this position you will:

  • Serve as a technical systems engineer assigned to EQMS modules and other quality systems such as LIMS.
  • Lead requirements gathering and design discussions with business stakeholders and Information Technology partners.
  • Demonstrate application features and functionalities while communicating system impact to business process stakeholders.
  • Address and resolve user issues related to system configuration and permissions.
  • Provide business project management support for implementations, enhancements, and system changes.
  • Perform system configuration, testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for projects, enhancements, and updates.
  • Work closely with organizational change management and training teams to ensure complete understanding of enhancements, changes, and overall system functionality., * Remote flexibility available.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Training & development?, * 3 to 5 years of systems engineering experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.
  • Strong communication skills, both in-person and virtual, with the ability to lead meetings, discussions, and training sessions.
  • Comfortable being on camera during virtual meetings and training sessions.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in system configuration.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in project management.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to participate in meetings and calls outside of normal working hours, including late nights or early mornings.
  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 10%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Veeva Vault White Belt Certification preferred.
  • Experience working with EQMS platforms and quality systems environments preferred., * How many years of experience do you have working with Quality Systems, EQMS, LIMS, or similar enterprise applications?
  • Do you have hands-on experience with system configuration, testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)?
  • Have you worked on system implementations, enhancements, or digital transformation projects? Please explain briefly.
  • Describe your experience collaborating with business stakeholders and IT teams to gather requirements and support system solutions.
  • Are you comfortable leading virtual meetings, system demonstrations, and user training sessions?
