The Reliability Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining reliability systems to achieve the highest levels of asset availability throughout the facility, in a way that drives behavior-based change to help create a continuous improvement culture. This will be accomplished through effective Predictive & Preventive Maintenance practices, skills/OJT training programs, and sustainability methods (electrical, water, gas, and waste). Overall, the Reliability Department Leader, will assist in improving product quality, safety, equipment reliability, and reducing operational costs. This role reports to the Plant Maintenance/Reliability Manger and manages the reliability team., * Will be part of escalation on downtime more than 90 minutes where the candidate will be called to assess the failure and complete a Root Cause Analysis
- Is engaged on the floor looking and observing equipment and operations
- Works with operations and maintenance to develop individual equipment/system asset care strategy utilizing Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Methods, Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), and other reliability methods. Strategies would identify required PM inspections (maintenance/operator), Predictive maintenance technologies, and necessary upgrades to achieve reliability for that asset relative to the required purpose and achievable throughput rate.
- Drive behavior-based change to help create a proactive and reliability-focused culture throughout the site.
- Form and lead a cohesive site reliability team with team members from all levels of the organization. Identify support needed (consultant, engineering, maintenance, and operations) to drive improvement efforts.
- Develop data collection plans to determine baseline and improvement opportunities, including the development of a site map of critical process flows & equipment in each department.
- Conduct regular equipment data analysis to understand drivers of repeat issues, utilizing measures such as MTBF / MTBR.
- Establish reliability KPIs, including identifying systems for capturing the data required for KPIs and establishing appropriate communication methods.
- Support Operational Excellence initiatives, including, but not limited to, Total Productive Maintenance programs, i.e., Autonomous Maintenance.
- Serves as a technical resource for engineers and craftspeople on reliability issues and trains operators and craftspeople in all matters pertaining to reliability.
- Work with the site HR and Training Department to develop maintenance training programs, including employee development, skills assessment, and advancement programs.
- Assist in identifying and implementing waste and energy reduction opportunities that help to achieve sustainability goals.
- Work closely with Engineering to build reliability into new projects.
- May participate in FAT and commissioning of new or modified equipment.
- Stay current in best practices, technical and industry advancements related to reliability, maintenance training, and sustainability. Identify and deliver best practices across the site and communicate successes throughout the company.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Time commitment to role:
- 60% Develop, implement, and sustain reliability programs.
- 30% Develop, implement, and sustain skills and equipment/system training.
- 10% Develop, implement, and sustain sustainability initiatives.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Manufacturing company experience?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Bachelor's degree in industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or a high school diploma/GED with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- At least five (5) years of experience in maintenance, reliability, within a manufacturing environment.
- At least two (2) years of experience managing maintenance and/or reliability technicians or engineers in a manufacturing environment a plus
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Engineer ARP-E, Six Sigma Green belt)certifications are a must; other/additional reliability certifications will be considered, or the ability to obtain certifications within Five (5) years of employment.
You'll be most successful in this role if you have:
The ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record of building and maintaining Predictive and Preventative programs and championing Root Cause and MTBF.
- Working knowledge of failure mode and effects analysis, root cause analysis, statistics and probability, and complex technical problem solving. Knowledge in Data analysis techniques such as Statistical Process Control, Fault Tree, Fishbone, and Six Sigma (DMAIC).
- Familiar with large electromechanical equipment, controls, data acquisition, vibration analysis, lubrication, and other non-destructive evaluations. Strong quantitative acumen with the ability to perform data analysis, including the ability to perform trending and unit-to-unit comparison data analysis and trending techniques.
- Comprehensive knowledge of product and process development, manufacturing/packaging equipment, processing/testing laboratory techniques and regulatory requirements.

- Well-developed oral and written communication skills to make presentations and recommendations in an assigned area.
- Results-oriented and able to effectively organize and develop plans; prioritize and execute actions.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office programs and Enterprise Resource Planning systems, previous JDE experience preferred.

The salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $133,000.00 .
Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications, and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offer.
