Job description
Render is searching for a System Administrator to join a dynamic in-person team in a lab environment supporting Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). This role involves a range of system administration responsibilities, including:
- Conducting vulnerability scans using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
- Installing patches and ensuring systems are up to date.
- Creating system baselines and deploying images to field components.
- Managing system backups and recovery processes.
- Implementing security hardening using Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIGs).
- Maintaining accurate hardware and software inventories.
- Troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
Our System Administrator will have hands-on exposure to Windows OS, Linux OS, cryptographic devices, and network equipment, making it ideal for someone looking to deepen their expertise in system administration and cybersecurity within a UAS environment.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, * Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (patching, Windows registry, Group Policy)
- Active DoD 8570 Certification - Security+ (Plus) Certification
- Active Secret clearance
- 7+ years of experience
Additional Qualifications (Not Required)
- Experience in supporting DoD programs
- Experience with vulnerability scanners (ACAS, Nessus) and STIG implementation
- BA or BS degree in a technical field, including Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, etc.
- Familiar with Security Infrastructure
- Working knowledge of Linux Operating System, The qualified candidate must be a US Citizen with an active/current DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

This position has an annual salary range of $110,000 to $140,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and education and in consideration of internal pay equality.
