Job description

  • Build and operate production-grade container platforms supporting business-critical workloads
  • Work extensively with Kubernetes, automation, and secure infrastructure design across heterogeneous enterprise environments
  • Take end-to-end ownership of platform-related topics, ensuring reliability, scalability, and operational excellence
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and ensure high-quality documentation as part of engineering best practices
  • Work within a small, focused team composed of a Technical Project Manager, a Platform Architect, and DevOps Engineers
  • Contribute both to daily operations and to architectural decision-making across the platform landscape

Requirements

Do you have experience in Terraform?, * Several years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure-related roles, with the ability to design, operate, and evolve Kubernetes-based platforms at scale

  • At least 1+ year of hands-on daily production experience with Kubernetes, including cluster lifecycle management, ingress controllers, service meshes, and cert-manager
  • Experience writing and maintaining Helm charts or Kustomize configurations
  • Strong experience with Terraform and Helm for platform automation and configuration management
  • Proven experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows, ideally with ArgoCD
  • Proficiency in Go, Python, or Bash for automation workflows and platform tooling
  • Strong knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry, including experience designing and implementing SLI/SLO frameworks for distributed systems
  • Familiarity with security standards, platform security best practices, and integrating compliance requirements into platform architectures
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to technical growth and infrastructure roadmaps
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with a structured, self-directed, and reliable working style
  • Comfortable working in multinational teams
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills in English and German

What will be a plus:

  • Kubernetes certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or CKS
  • Experience with Ansible
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Multi-cluster Kubernetes experience
  • Hands-on experience with OKD or OpenShift
  • Familiarity with Security Context Constraints (SCCs), Cluster Version Operator (CVO), Machine Config Operator (MCO), Operator Lifecycle Manager (OLM), and OKD Routes
  • Familiarity with OVN-Kubernetes networking and network policy design
  • Knowledge of Longhorn or comparable Kubernetes-native storage systems
  • Experience developing or operating Kubernetes Operators
  • Familiarity with Operator SDK or Kubebuilder
  • Experience writing ADRs, runbooks, and platform design documentation
