Job description
- Provide 2nd level support for our Ubuntu desktop fleet - from OS and hardware issues to application troubleshooting and peripherals
- Develop and maintain automated configuration management for Linux client systems (e.g. Ansible)
- Manage software deployment, package management, and patch cycles across the desktop fleet
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and local policies on Linux endpoints
- Integrate desktop systems into central services (LDAP/AD, SSO, VPN, network storage)
- Maintain and improve standard desktop images and provisioning workflows
- Collaborate with the robotics and DevOps teams on tooling and environment requirements for engineering workstations
- Document processes, write runbooks, and contribute to the internal knowledge base
Requirements
Do you have experience in VPN?, * Minimum of 3 years' experience in Linux system administration
- Proficiency in relevant scripting languages such as Shell and Python
- Strong grasp of networking principles
- Comprehensive knowledge of Debian-based operating systems, particularly Ubuntu
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English (B2 or better)
- Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving
- A dedicated and collaborative team player
About the company
The Group's IT department has over 20 members and provides support to more than 1,200 users. You'll join the parent company's IT team of 10 people, working alongside two Linux Admins, as well as collaborating closely with both the robotics and DevOps teams.
