Job description
We're looking for a Software Engineer who excels in complex deployments of networks and systems, has strong communication and analytical skills, and embodies a growth and agile mindset. What you'll be doing as a Software Engineer: In this role you'll design, develop and test software that creates the network capabilities for a combat management system containing operator consoles, radar systems and optical sensor systems. The team is responsible for the entire development chain: requirements analysis, development, testing, validation and demonstrating the current status of the product. The role lies within our client's software engineering department, and more specifically the CMS (Combat Management System) Infrastructure team, which drives the development of cutting-edge combat and information management systems for naval vessels. Their expertise extends to seamless integration with sensor and weapon systems, alongside the creation of advanced sensor processing applications. What you need to be successful as a System Engineer
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, IT Service Management, System & Network Engineering or comparable
- Minimum three years of work experience in a similar position
- Excellent Python skills (OOP, functional programming)
- Experience with building pipelines and supporting tooling (e.g., Gitlab, Jenkins, Maven, Jira)
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is a plus
- Experience maintaining software across Operating System releases
- Infrastructure as Code
Experience with Ansible, certification or demonstrable knowledge is a plus * Knowledge of Network technologies - experience like routing, switching, OSPF, multicast and firewalling is a plus
- Scaled Scrum - experience is a plus
