Finance Data Analyst

White Horse Employment are delighted to be supporting a growing professional services business based in Bath who are looking to recruit an Finance Data Analyst to join their growing team.

This role is ideally suited to someone with strong data analysis and reporting experience, particularly around SQL and Power BI, who enjoys working with large data sets and turning complex information into meaningful business insights. Whilst the role sits within finance, the priority is strong technical reporting and analytical capability over pure finance experience.

Working closely with both Finance and IT teams, you will support the development and maintenance of reporting processes, dashboards, and data visualisation tools, helping improve business reporting and decision-making across the organisation., * Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualisations

• Extract, interrogate, and manipulate data from multiple sources
• Write SQL queries to support reporting requirements
• Work with Power BI to deliver meaningful business insights
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes
• Identify opportunities to improve and standardise reporting
• Liaise with stakeholders across Finance, IT, and the wider business
• Ensure reporting governance and documentation is maintained

Do you have experience in SQL?, * Previous experience in a reporting, data analysis, or MI role

• Strong SQL and Power BI experience
• Advanced Excel skills including Power Query and Pivot Tables
• Experience working with large and complex data sets
• Finance or accounting exposure would be advantageous but is not essential
