Job description
Trace Systems is actively recruiting for a Cloud Platforms Administrator I to support the AFCENT Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) contract at Shaw AFB, SCThe job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide Tier 2/3 (diagnosis, analysis and troubleshooting and resolution for more complex/advanced network, client and end-user connectivity issues escalated by Tier 1 or 2 technical support staff);

Install, configure, operate, manage, troubleshoot, repair, upgrade, inspect and maintain virtual server systems in the DoD localized Cloud environment;
-
Deploy Cloud Foundry (or equivalent) instances, and develop test and push applications into production;
-
Build, install, configure and maintain software and affiliated systems through the cloud implementation pipeline;
-
Perform application security patching, upgrades and enhancements;
-
Manage and maintain user accounts for virtual systems and applications in cloudenvironment;
-
Monitor virtual machines and application use and performance using automated tools;
-
Monitor system logs for errors and failures, and perform appropriate troubleshooting andmaintenance;
-
Detect, analyze and resolve problems associated with platform, operating system andapplication software of virtual systems;
-
Monitor equipment and systems for indications of warnings, faults, alarm conditions and outages; and provide component and system fault isolation, diagnostics, troubleshooting and restoration services;

Troubleshoot until the source of the condition, degradation or outage is identified, and implement corrective actions and repairs to restore affected equipment, systems or services to full operational capability;

Design, write, modify and implement software programs/applications;

Develop "glue-ware" to support operational client applications and security patches;
-
Provide Tier 2 technical support;

Install, configure, operate, manage, troubleshoot, repair, upgrade, inspect and maintain server systems (physical and virtual), including administration of core and functional services;

Manage and administer user accounts, profiles and access;
-
Monitoring user access and adherence to established policies and procedures to ensure a secure operating environment;
-
Monitor workstation and server logs for errors and failures and perform appropriate troubleshooting and maintenance;
-
Provide technical assistance for assigned projects;
-
Provide desktop, server and software application integration support;
-
Operate and maintain monitoring and analysis tools; and detect, analyze and resolve platform, infrastructure and system problems;
-
Document system administration procedures, instructions, configurations, changes andupgrades;
-
Assist with creation, modification and maintenance of documentation required forplatform, system and software certification and accreditation (C&A); and
-
Update and maintain as-built cloud platform configuration and connectivity drawings,diagrams and documentation, and publish semi-annually;
-
Other duties as required.
Requirements
-
Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
-
Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
-
DoDM 8140 IAT Level 2 (Security+) or higher.
-
2+ years Cloud Foundry experience; or Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) Administrator, Amazon Web Services Certified Developer, DevOps Foundation or equivalent certification.

VMware Certified Associate (VCA) or equivalent certification; and Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent certification.

- High School Diploma or GED.
