JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Windows Systems Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a multi-purpose Windows infrastructure in a secure environment. Canidate must be able to work Monday-Friday (NIGHT SHIFT), and ON CALL as needed., * Responsible for configuration and maintenance of multi-purpose Windows servers, workstations, and storage arrays in a secure environment
- Monitor all Windows servers system alerts and assist to resolve complex issues in system hardware and software.
- Comply with security requirements, which may include routine system checks for Antivirus, logging, and network system services.
- Administrator will be responsible for ensuring systems remain operational with high levels of production uptime.
- Implement recovery procedures to include the backup and potential restoration within agreed timeframes. Analyze Windows systems for failure.
- Apply Windows server and applications patches and security controls.
- Install and configure various commercial products on Window operating systems.
- Administer and execute various Windows management activities and manage all backup activities.
- Coordinate with various groups and perform troubleshoot on all production problems and provide resolution.
- Collaborate with networking department and install/configure necessary network hardware.
- Perform research on system technology and provide resolution to complex issues for processes.
- Manage Windows Desktop environment, monitor user trouble tickets and provide appropriate resolution for same. Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists.
- Recommend and implement approved system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management. Coordinate with management and evaluate conduct capacity for Windows systems.
- Interface with different vendors whose products are in use in this environment.
- Maintain the backup datacenter environment at the facility.
- Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows Server administration?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Education: Bachelor' Degree in Computer Science or related field.
