Job description
We are looking for a motivated and proactive IT professional to join our MSP team. This role suits someone who doesn't wait to be asked - you'll act on what you see and hear, take ownership of issues, and consistently look for ways to improve systems and services., Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Responding to support tickets via email and phone
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues on desktops, servers, and other devices
- Attending scheduled and immediate client site callouts
- Diagnosing and resolving network and wireless issues
- Deploying new solutions in line with documented SOPs
- Supporting and resolving issues within Microsoft 365 and other SaaS platforms
- Troubleshooting and supporting security products
- Taking a proactive approach to service desk alerts generated by applications, platforms, and devices
- Liaising with third-party providers on behalf of clients
- Supporting installations of new devices, systems, and infrastructure
Desirable Skills & Experience
The following skills and experience would be advantageous, although not essential:
- Microsoft 365 (Office 365)
- Windows Desktop & Windows Server operating systems
- Cisco networking
- Next-generation firewalls
- Hosted telephony solutions
- Cyber security principles and products
- DNS and domain management
- VMware
Additional Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * A proactive mindset - addressing issues without being prompted
- High attention to detail, both technically and administratively
- A kind, friendly, and respectful approach when dealing with clients
- Strong organisation skills, with the ability to plan ahead for tasks and projects
- The initiative to carry out independent research and development to solve problems
- The ability to work independently without supervision, as well as effectively as part of a team
- Pride in their work - both in software configuration and practical installations
- Clear, accurate, and thorough documentation and job notes
- A motivated, professional attitude and a strong work ethic
