Job description
As an enthusiastic and analytically strong Data Consultant, you will work on high-impact customer and internal data projects. In this role, you will deliver end-to-end data consultancy assignments, applying advanced analytics, data modelling and cloud technologies to generate meaningful insights for our customers and support business growth.
You will work closely with Customer Success, Sales, Product and Data Science teams, translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations. Your work will directly support customers in improving fleet performance and accelerating their transition toward more sustainable mobility solutions, including electric vehicles. This is a hands-on individual contributor role offering autonomy, visibility and the opportunity to see tangible results from your work.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING:
Delivering data consultancy projects:
- Owning the definition, development and delivery of bespoke customer data projects
- Performing advanced operational and financial analyses to identify, size and prioritise performance improvement opportunities
- Building data-driven dashboards, analytics solutions and algorithms for customer and internal use
- Enhancing existing automated reporting and data visualisation solutions
- Advising customers on best practices for integrating MICHELIN Connected Fleet data into their own BI and analytics tools
Supporting commercial and product growth:
- Providing data analysis and insights to support sales opportunities, tenders and business development activities
- Contributing customer and data-driven feedback to support continuous product improvement
- Identifying opportunities where data can enhance customer value and drive innovation
Driving data understanding and quality:
- Translating complex analytical outputs into clear narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Supporting the development of data literacy across Customer Success and the wider organisation
- Ensuring accuracy, consistency and robustness in data models and analytical outputs
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in a data, analytics or digital consultancy environment
- Strong academic background, ideally including, University degree (STEM or quantitative discipline)
- Strong foundations in mathematics and analytical reasoning
- Strong hands-on experience with, programming & Analytics: Python, SQL, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow
- Data & Cloud: AWS (Athena, S3, Redshift), data warehousing, ETL pipelines
- Visualisation & Tools: Jupyter, Visual Studio Code, Microsoft Excel, dashboards and reporting solutions
- Development Environments: Linux/Ubuntu, Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence
- Familiarity with JavaScript, jQuery and Microsoft .NET technologies is advantageous
- Outstanding quantitative and analytical problem-solving ability
- Strong understanding of statistics fundamentals (e.g. hypothesis testing, regression, modelling techniques)
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems and deliver pragmatic, value-focused solutions
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
- High attention to detail, accuracy and data integrity
- Strong leadership without direct authority; ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication, change management, and storytelling skills
- Experience working in international, matrixed organisations
