Job description
We are seeking an Analytics / Data Engineer to support a major U.S. Air Force digital engineering engagement. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the data pipelines and dashboards that provide critical insights into the health, usage, and cost of a massive enterprise platform. This role involves integrating data from a wide array of diverse sources, including cloud infrastructure, federated engineering tools, and software license managers to create a single source of truth for platform administrators. Your work will empower government leaders with the near real-time data needed for effective decision-making, financial management, and platform governance. This role may require up to 25% travel., * Design, build, and sustain robust data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into a centralized analytics repository.
- Develop and manage comprehensive dashboards for monitoring software license utilization, cloud infrastructure consumption (FinOps), and application performance.
- Integrate monitoring data from internal and third-party tools into a unified, near real-time analytics interface for government administrators.
- Support the secure migration and validation of data from legacy environments to the new platform, ensuring data integrity and lineage.

Requirements
Do you have experience in SQL?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * US Citizen with an Active Secret Security Clearance.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or business intelligence.
- Expertise in building data pipelines (ETL/ELT), data modeling, and creating dashboards with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, Qlik).
- Strong proficiency in SQL.
- Strong spoken and written English skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with enterprise software license monitoring tools (e.g., FlexNet, Open iT).
- Experience with cloud cost management (FinOps) and native cloud monitoring tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch).
- DoD or Air Force enterprise system experience.
