Job description
- Pre-Sales & Scoping: Participate in client discovery meetings to assess existing on-premises infrastructure, identify risks, and develop hybrid/cloud migration strategies.
- Solution Architecture: Translate client requirements into technical documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and implementation estimates.
- Project Execution: Serve as the technical lead for core infrastructure projects, driving them from pre-sales assessment through implementation and lifecycle support.
- Cloud & Modernization: Lead migrations from traditional on-premises environments to Azure and AWS, executing initiatives like Active Directory consolidation, OS modernization, and Office 365/Exchange moves.
- Escalation Support: Serve as the senior escalation point for the NOC and engineering teams to resolve complex server, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure issues.
- Infrastructure Management: Design, maintain, and support Windows Server environments, backup/disaster recovery strategies, system monitoring, and detailed technical documentation.
- Culture: Support and promote the mission, values, and principles of Powernet.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, You are a senior-level technical leader and trusted advisor who blends deep engineering expertise with a consultant's mindset. You thrive on solving complex infrastructure puzzles, leading client-facing pre-sales discussions, and architecting modernization strategies for Microsoft Azure and AWS. Your background is heavily rooted in core systems, identity, and infrastructure engineering rather than application development or DevOps pipelines., * Experience: 7+ years designing, building, and supporting Microsoft Windows domain environments (MSP or Managed Services experience strongly preferred).
- Systems & Identity: Windows Server (2016-2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, PowerShell automation, Entra ID, and email administration (M365/Exchange).
- Cloud & Virtualization: Public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and on-premises virtualization hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix).
- Data & Storage: SAN/NAS storage platforms (Nimble/Pure/NetApp) and backup/disaster recovery architecture.
- Networking: Foundational networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Operations: Experience with PSA ticketing tools (ConnectWise/Halo) and monitoring platforms (NinjaOne).
Certifications & General Requirements
- Preferred Certifications: Microsoft (Azure Admin, Hybrid Administrator, Solutions Architect), AWS Solutions Architect, or VCP.
- General: Excellent communication skills for stakeholder discussions, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel on-site as needed.
