Job description
Summary Conducts a variety of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical tests on electronic systems, subassemblies, and parts to ensure unit functions according to specifications or to determine cause of unit failure by performing the following duties.
- Reads test schedule, work orders, test procedures, performance specifications, wiring diagrams and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used.
- Tests functional performance of systems, subassemblies, and parts under specified environmental conditions such as temperature change, vibration, pressure and humidity.
- Connects unit to be tested to test equipment such as power supplies, signal generator, frequency meter or other specialized equipment.
- Reads dials or digital displays that indicate electronic characteristics such as voltage, frequency, distortion, inductance, and capacitance. Compares results with specifications and records test data or plots test results on graph.
- Analyzes test results on defective units and apply troubleshooting techniques to determine cause of failure.
- Replaces defective wiring and components or records defects on tag attached to unit and returns unit to production department for repair.
- Demonstrates an understanding of Ohm's Law and logic gate function.
- Confers with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others regarding testing procedures and results and to resolve problems.
- Monitor test equipment and fixtures for wear and maintain as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow prescribed safety rules and Company policies at all times.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Microsoft Office?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 7 - 10 years related experience. AS degree in Electronics field preferred.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a firm grasp of the English language with good oral communication skills.
Computer skills required in order to track test results, enter data, as well as for time keeping purposes. MS Office at a minimum, experience with data loggers and serial terminal programs are valued.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, with other employees available to assist as needed. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. ESD straps/shoes required., * Electrical Test: 7 years (Required)

Target Pay Range: $33.70 - 38.00 per hour
