Job description
The Service Technical Consultant possesses a unique skill set. These include: proficiency in the technical, application, diagnostic and installation aspects of the HVAC/R business as well as the strong communication and presentation skills to provide training meetings and as a liaison between Johnstone Supply, Equipment Manufacturers, HVAC/R Contractors and Homeowners and Building Owners. The STC position is a Full-Time position, operating within the Sales Department. The position does require local travel with-in the greater Los Angeles metro region.
Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Solicit new business and local travel for outside sales calls and job walks.
- Residential and Commercial HVAC Dealer Support
- Generate bids for projects
- HVAC Dealer Acquisition Support
- Maintain relationships with customers by providing fast and accurate service
- Customer and Employee Technical and Product Training in Johnstone Branches and Customer Locations
- Job Site Equipment Troubleshooting
- Handle a high volume of incoming calls, emails, and other communications from existing and prospective customers with courtesy and enthusiasm.
- Maintain close communication and follow-up with store managers, territory managers, and management.
- Work with vendors to address concerns and solve contractor customer issues.
- Provide technical support to Contractor customers on a wide range of HVAC products sold by Johnstone Supply.
Requirements

- (5 years) Experience in the installation and service of HVAC/R equipment.
- Strong knowledge and experience in the installation and service of HVAC/R equipment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple technical requests.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have a driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
