Job description

The Business/Data Analyst (Assistant Director of Business Performance) will work with a small team of experienced data and analytics professionals to apply data warehousing and data visualization skills in support of the ongoing management and development of a mature, widely used enterprise business analytics program.

This position partners with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for data innovation and translate requirements into scalable analytics solutions. The Assistant Director of Business Performance supports innovative use of enterprise data platforms including secure data sharing and Snowflake clean room capabilities to expand advanced analytics and insight generation., * Lead comprehensive data analysis initiatives using tools such as R, Python, SQL, and Tableau to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for business growth.

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports with Power BI, Looker, and Tableau to support executive decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to gather requirements, define project scope, and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycles following SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices to ensure timely delivery of high-quality analytics solutions.
  • Develop and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Talend, Bash scripts, and Oracle databases for efficient data integration.
  • Conduct database design and management tasks on platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
  • Utilize business analysis skills to identify process improvements, streamline workflows, and implement innovative data-driven strategies that enhance operational performance.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Snowflake?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's Degree in related field.

  • 2+ years of experience (including internships or entry-level roles) in business analytics, data warehousing, data visualization, or performance reporting.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, supporting analytics or reporting solutions, or working with structured data in a professional setting.
  • Experience in sports, entertainment, or other performance-driven environments preferred but not required.
  • Foundational to intermediate experience with SQL and enterprise database platforms such as Snowflake and/or SQL Server.
  • Exposure to secure or governed data access concepts, data sharing, or enterprise analytics environments preferred.
  • Experience creating reports or dashboards using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience using Python and/or R for data analysis, modeling, or automation.
  • Proficiency with Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in data innovation and performance insights.
  • Ability to learn new tools and concepts quickly in a collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Clear communication skills and willingness to work with both technical and business partners., * Bachelor's (Required)
