We are working with a highly regarded independent school in Cambridge to appoint a Data Manager from September 2026. This is a full-time, permanent role for an experienced data professional who understands the importance of accurate, well-structured information in supporting whole-school decision making.
This is a role where detail really matters. You'll be working closely with senior leaders and teaching staff to ensure data is not only accurate, but genuinely useful in helping the school track progress and maintain high standards.

The role
You will take ownership of the school's Management Information System (MIS), overseeing the accuracy, development, and reporting of all core data processes.
This includes academic tracking, reporting cycles, census returns, and supporting staff with the effective use of data across the school.
You will also work closely with senior leaders, providing clear reports and analysis that support strategic decisions around student progress and school performance., * Managing and developing the school MIS system (e.g. iSAMS, SIMS or Arbor)
- Producing accurate academic reports and tracking data
- Supporting staff with data input and system use
- Leading on data quality, compliance, and GDPR requirements
- Creating clear dashboards and reports for senior leadership
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes

Requirements
Do you have experience in Tableau?, * Experience in a school data or MIS role
- Strong knowledge of systems such as SIMS, iSAMS, or Arbor
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
- Ability to present data clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- A calm, organised approach to workload
