Job description
Design, implement, and manage enterprise data governance solutions using tools such as Collibra or similar platforms. Configure and customize business glossaries, data catalogs, policies, standards, stewardship workflows, and operating models. Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define data ownership, stewardship, and governance processes Open Source Platforms: Implement and manage open source metadata frameworks such as OpenMetadata. Integrate OpenLineage for end to end data lineage across pipelines and analytical platforms. Customize APIs, ingestion connectors, and metadata models for open source governance solutions. Cloud & Data Platform Integration. Integrate governance tools with AWS data services (e.g., S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lambda, EMR). Work with data engineering teams to embed governance into AWS based data pipelines. Ensure governance controls support cloud native architectures and scalability Data Lineage, Quality & Compliance: Enable automated technical and business lineage across batch and streaming pipelines. Requirements
8+ years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, or Data Management. Strong hands on experience with Collibra (or similar enterprise data governance platforms). Practical experience with OpenMetadata, OpenLineage, or other open source data governance tools. Solid knowledge of AWS services and cloud based data platforms. Experience integrating governance tools with data lakes, warehouses, and BI platforms. Strong understanding of data lineage, data quality, and metadata models. Excellent communication skills with ability to engage both business and technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will drive data governance implementation, metadata management, lineage, and data quality initiatives across enterprise data platforms.
