We focus on enhancing situational awareness, tactical command and control, and seamless video data exchange capabilities within a dynamic, multi-domain environment., The Ultra Engineering function manages a portfolio of specialist capabilities, generating highly differentiated solutions and products by applying electronic, mechanical, and software technologies in demanding and critical environments to meet customer needs. Responsibilities:

• Works in the Agile/Scrum development methodology
• Be responsible for the design, development, code, unit test and test of technical solutions of real-time software systems collaborating with senior engineers
• Participates in code/design reviews
• Debugs existing software and correct defects
• Participates in architecture / design meetings to help drive the direction of the project
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Active learner who keeps up with technology

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field with a concentration in software development
• Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance. Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens
• 4+ years of Full Stack software development experience
• 2+ years of software development experience using Linux Operating System
• 3+ years experience in modern programming languages such as Python.
• 2+ years experience in back-end technologies such as Django.
• 2+ years experience in front-end technologies such as TypeScript, React, Redux, CSS3 and HTML5
• Strong debugging skills across frontend (browser devtools) and backend (logs, Apache error logs, container logs) systems.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Django, Python, React and JavaScript
• Demonstrated experience shipping production web applications.
• Experience with Docker
• Experience in software development using Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and Subversion
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
• Understanding of SQL and NoSQL DBMS technology such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Understanding of caching mechanisms such as Redis, Memcached
• Understanding of message brokering technologies such as AMQP, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ

Travel Requirements

• May require periodical (quarterly on average) travel for technical interchange meetings, customer meetings and/or integration activities.

Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Frequently required to sit and use manual dexterity
• Works in an office environment with little or occasional light physical effort
• Works on a computer, requiring the ability to view a monitor for long periods of time
