Job description
Leidos QTC Health Services is seeking an Amazon Connect Engineer on our Technology team. In this role, you will lead the design, engineering, and implementation of end-to-end Amazon Connect solutions that support business-critical operations. You will serve as the technical expert for Amazon Connect architecture, guiding development teams, translating business needs into scalable solutions, and ensuring seamless integration across platforms and systems., * Analyze, recommend, and design end-to-end Amazon Connect architecture
- Create and deliver technical proposals and presentations aligned to the Amazon Connect architecture roadmap
- Document Amazon Connect architecture, including architectural decisions and design artifacts
- Coordinate projects with vendors to expand and enhance business-critical systems
- Assist in the initial design and development of new applications surrounding Amazon Connect
- Define product requirements and create high-level specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems and platforms
- Translate business needs into long-term technical solutions
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of requirements and effectively communicate them to software design teams
- Work independently to design and develop Amazon Connect products or major enhancements to existing platforms
- Write, maintain, evaluate, and communicate software engineering design documents and interface control documents (ICDs) to customers and engineers
- Design, develop, and maintain code using .NET, Java, React, and Terraform
- Analyze and troubleshoot legacy code that may have limited documentation
- Adhere to sound software engineering practices and programming standards
- Collaborate closely with other Amazon Connect engineers to establish and maintain service work practices and programming standards
- May lead a Amazon Connect focused development team in the design of highly complex software systems
- Act as the Amazon Connect technical expert, addressing systems integration, compatibility, and multi-platform challenges
- Ensure project completion from a technical architecture perspective
- Perform feasibility analyses for potential future projects and present recommendations to management
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Progressive experience designing and implementing Amazon Connect solutions
- Strong experience in software development using .NET, Java, React, and Terraform
- Experience designing and documenting software architecture, including design documents and interface control documents (ICDs)
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Strong understanding of systems integration, multi-platform environments, and legacy system modernization
- Ability to work independently and manage technical responsibilities across multiple projects
- If applicable, must be able to pass a federal background check and/or obtain and maintain additional clearances as specified by the contract (e.g., NACI, PIV, SMS, TMS).
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS certifications, particularly related to Amazon Connect or AWS Solutions Architecture
- Experience developing architecture roadmaps for enterprise contact center platforms
- Experience coordinating with third-party vendors in large-scale system implementations
- Prior experience supporting government or highly regulated environments
- Strong presentation skills with experience delivering technical briefings to leadership
