Job description
The Staff Test Engineering will be responsible for the entire test strategy and execution for a portfolio of Battery Management System (BMS) products. Oversee the development of test programs and automated test equipment (ATE) for characterization, qualification, and high-volume production of integrated circuits (ICs) used in lithium-ion battery packs. This role requires technical depth in mixed-signal and SOC IC testing and strong leadership to drive design for test, continuous improvement, product quality, and time-to-market., * Work in a team of test engineers fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and technical excellence.
- Work with Design team in defining DFT (Design for Test).
- Review and define manufacturability flow and achieve best in class cost.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, ensuring skill development and adherence to best practices.
Test strategy and execution
- Define and implement comprehensive test strategies for new BMS IC products, covering all phases from new product introduction (NPI) to high-volume manufacturing. release
- Oversee the design, development, and debugging of automated test programs and hardware interfaces for ATE platforms.
- Ensure that test coverage is robust and sufficient to guarantee the performance, reliability, and safety of product, including key functions like voltage/current monitoring, state-of-charge calculation, and cell balancing.
- Analyze test data to monitor product yield, identify trends, and drive root-cause analysis for failures in collaboration with design, process, and manufacturing teams.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Work closely with design, applications, and validation engineering teams to provide Design-for-Test (DFT) feedback and ensure a smooth transition from design to production.
- Interface with foundry and outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) partners to manage test solutions and address issues for high-volume manufacturing.
- Collaborate with the quality and reliability teams to ensure all testing processes comply with industry standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC, AEC-Q100) and regulatory requirements.
Process improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test efficiency, optimize cycle time, and costs.
- Evaluate and deploy new test equipment, technologies, and methodologies to improve test capabilities for new and product requirement.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including plans, procedures, and reports., We have adopted a hybrid model that gives employees the ability to work remotely two days a week while ensuring that we come together as a team in the office the rest of the time. The designated in-office days are Tuesday through Thursday for innovation, collaboration and continuous learning. Job title Staff ATE Test Engineering, Battery Management System (f/m/d)
