Job description

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join a growing technical team in Florence, AL. This role reports to the Technical Manager - Infrastructure and is responsible for ensuring the security of large-scale systems and technology deployments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to work efficiently in a dynamic environment while maintaining high professional standards., * Manage cyber security work assignments and prioritize projects for timely completion

  • Research and analyze security risk bulletins, including zero-day events
  • Recommend and implement security patches and upgrades
  • Assess new products for security compliance prior to deployment
  • Participate in penetration tests and security audits
  • Conduct security awareness campaigns and training to measure and improve company-wide security knowledge
  • Verify and validate project activities prior to production release
  • Monitor the technical environment and provide recommendations to enhance cyber security architecture
  • Support other IT activities during high workload periods

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience providing Cyber Security support in large-scale, complex technical environments
  • Strong knowledge of cyber security principles, patching, risk assessment, and security audits
  • Proven ability to analyze and mitigate security risks, including zero-day vulnerabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to prioritize projects, work independently, and meet deadlines with accuracy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and security tools
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred, * Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with team members and vendors
  • Detail-oriented and able to multi-task effectively
  • Adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced technical environment
  • Commitment to accuracy and high-quality work
