This role at Code Metal sits at the intersection of engineering, research, and growth, helping translate emerging opportunities into real technical capabilities., * Identify and shape new technical opportunities and architectures that expand how Code Metal's technology is applied in real-world systems for government and commercial users.
- Rapidly investigate new technical domains and evaluate alternative solution paths through analysis, trade studies, and feasibility assessments.
- Translate ambiguous problems into credible technical approaches, system concepts, and proposal content.
- Lead the execution of proof-of-concept (PoC) system designs, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders on scoping and providing technical judgment throughout
- Find opportunities to showcase product differentiators when building solutions and PoCs for customers
- Work across engineering, research, product, and growth teams.

- Ability to quickly learn about unfamiliar domains and synthesize new technical information.
- Experience working with customers to create solutions and execute successful proofs of concept.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem decomposition skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to contribute to technical proposals.
- Self-starter with an ability to operate independently.
Great to Have:
- Experience designing or architecting complex technical systems.
- Broad cross-domain software experience in one or more of the following: C/C++, Rust, Python, Verilog/VHDL, MATLAB, CUDA/OpenCL
- Real-world edge computing or embedded experience where software, hardware, and physical systems intersect.
- Experience working with U.S. Government programs or dual-use technologies.
