Job description
Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Analytics Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for development and optimization of visualizations, implementing robust data checks, and ensuring the accuracy of KPI/metrics at Clarus. This role is critical in supporting the analytics needs of product, sales, finance., * Drive analytics discussions with leadership and cross functional teams to build consensus on business and technical definitions of KPI/metrics.
- Create reliable and efficient queries transforming and extracting large data sets for dashboarding and data visualization.
- Build expertise in metric definitions and calculations to ensure accurate and proper interpretation of core business metrics and drivers.
- Partner with the cross functional teams to drive projects and processes that contribute to improvements in data integrity.
- Manage a small team of analytics engineers/analysts.
- Identify opportunities to optimize reporting processes, data integration, and automation and partner with the broader team to execute on enhancements.
- Use data visualization and analytic tools to grasp business insights, and to create consumable data visualizations and recommendations that influence business outcomes.
- Analyze key performance metrics to identify root cause of performance issues.
- Regularly communicate performance trends and improvements to senior management and leadership ensuring they can talk to service-specific performance
- Ensure all programs have clear, quantifiable outcomes and measures that drive improved performance.
- Build and manage analytics pipeline processes using dbt or similar tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in analytics.
- Clear understanding and experience implementing OKRs.
- Experience working with Databricks, Spark, and Azure data services.
- Proficiency with NoSQL and SQL databases.
- Proficiency in data modeling, ETL/ELT, and modern data stack tools such as DBT.
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient with data visualization tools (i.e. PowerBI).
- Knowledge and experience with Python a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines a plus.
- Ability to travel once per quarter for 3-4 days, within the US.
