Job description
- Analyze business and user needs from team members and customers; recommend and implement effective technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and operating system issues in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, connect, and maintain computer hardware, software, networks, and peripherals.
- Provide onboarding and orientation for new employees, including setting up emails, Ring Central phone lines, system access, and other company platforms.
- Manage and support internal office phones, internet, cloud services, and cell phone needs as required.
- Monitor and enforce technology security best practices, with a strong focus on cyber and email security.
- Maintain accurate inventory of all technology hardware, software licenses, and IT resources.
- Support CRM and ERP systems, with primary emphasis on Salesforce CRM used across most subsidiaries.
- Collaborate with the head of E-Commerce to support Shopify system functionality and growth initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline information flows and recommend software platforms or upgrades to drive efficiency and business growth.
- Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Prepare and monitor annual CAPEX and OPEX budgets for IT; provide regular reporting.
- Be proactive in identifying technical upgrades, security enhancements, and system improvements.
- Periodic travel required to support operations (primary locations: South Carolina, North Carolina, Michigan, Wisconsin, Florida; additional as company grows).
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of relevant hands-on experience in Information Technology support or administration.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated experience with current technologies, tools, and best practices.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Expertise in computer hardware/software troubleshooting, network administration, and security (including viruses, email, and cyber threats).
- Administrative or support experience with any of the following: Salesforce CRM, Sage 50/Mysis (on-site server and cloud preferred), Shopify, MS Office, Adobe, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with VoIP phone systems (e.g., Ring Central), email setup, and cloud/internet service management.
