Network Administrator will interact with management, end users and system developers to do long range network planning and design. The Network Administrator is responsible for ensuring the overall security of the college network.This position may have occasional travel between campuses and for training. Occasional after hours may be required., Network MaintenanceAssist Director of Network Infrastructure with maintaining and upgrading the firewall security system and all connections that pertain to the firewallDaily administration of the LAN and WAN including system stability, integrity, and troubleshootingAssist Director of Network Infrastructure with maintaining the Intrusion Detection SystemMaintain Web content filteringConfigure and maintain DNS and DHCP serversMaintain and update network switches and other network devices Assist Director of Network Infrastructure with maintaining network backup and recovery Responsible for testing new network software and hardwareMaintain documentation on network systems, operational procedures, and network topologyAssist Director of Network Infrastructure with maintaining the network access control systemAssist Director of Network Infrastructure with maintaining the wireless networksResponsible for maintaining network uninterruptible power supplies Responsible for maintaining current documentation for static IP addressesResponsible for maintaining fiber, copper and phone line network dropsCross train on other network security as deemed necessary by the Director of Network InfrastructureCustomer SupportResponsible for providing network related end user support to staff and facultyOther duties as assignedRecognizing and respecting the variety of experiences and contributions represented by all of our students, employees, and community, the Network Administrator will encourage a learning environment in which everyone is supported and valued for their unique perspectives and experiences and will foster and promote the participation of all members of our diverse communities.
