The Information Technology Specialist reports directly to the Technology Services Manager. Information Technology Specialists usually work as part of a larger customer service team alongside other technology specialists, systems administrators, network administrators, technology business analysts, and security analysts. Physical Requirements Working Conditions The Information Technology Specialist is stationed in the Office of Information Technology. Standard office environment is maintained. Additional hours and travel to regional centers is required as circumstances necessitate.

The anticipated start date is June 16, 2026. RESPONSIBILITIES: Information Technology Specialists are responsible for providing Tier I and Tier II technology support for microcomputers and related technologies for students, faculty, and staff on the main campus and the regional campus centers. Works in a team environment with administrators, faculty, students, and staff in a daily problem-solving manner to implement solutions for addressing a wide variety of technology-related needs. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 2 years of technology, business, or education-related experience. Proficiency with microcomputer hardware maintenance and repair. Proficiency with software applications including Apple macOS, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office Suite. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must have good customer service skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors or Advanced degrees and/or industry certifications. Experience with server operating systems. Experience with network hardware including routers, bridges, and switches. Experience with IP Telephony and associated systems. Experience working in an academic environment. Experience conducting technology training workshops.
