Job description

The NOC/SOC Network Engineer will work directly within our technical operations team supporting customer environments, cloud infrastructure, networking systems, servers, and operational initiatives.

The ideal candidate understands the importance of process discipline, operational accountability, documentation, teamwork, and customer service while possessing a strong technical aptitude and desire to grow professionally.

This position includes opportunities to work with Windows and Linux systems, Azure / Entra and AWS cloud technologies, virtualization platforms, enterprise networking, datacenter infrastructure, and cybersecurity solutions and operations., * Support, troubleshoot, and maintain customer and internal infrastructure environments

  • Configure and support Windows Server systems, Linux systems, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Azure / Entra ID, Microsoft 365, AWS, Virtual Solutions, and Hyper-V environments
  • Monitor systems, infrastructure, backups, alerts, and operational health within a NOC/SOC environment
  • Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, escalation handling, and root cause analysis
  • Utilize ITSM and ticketing systems for incidents, changes, service requests, and projects
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and scheduled maintenance work
  • Create and maintain network diagrams, runbooks, SOPs, technical documentation, and configuration records
  • Follow ITIL/ITSM best practices for incident, problem, and change management
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, operations, helpdesk, and leadership teams
  • Assist with technical projects, customer onboarding, and process improvement initiatives

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows Server administration?, * Windows Server administration

  • Networking fundamentals and troubleshooting
  • Active Directory / DNS / DHCP
  • Microsoft 365 / Azure / Entra
  • VMware or Hyper-V
  • Firewall and networking concepts
  • IT troubleshooting and support
  • Ticketing systems and IT operations workflows
  • Technical documentation and organizational skills

Helpful Experience (Not Required)

Prior experience in the following areas is helpful, but not required. This role provides opportunities to learn and gain exposure to modern cybersecurity technologies and operational practices:

  • SIEM platforms
  • EDR/MDR cybersecurity solutions
  • SOC operations
  • Compliance-focused environments
  • Zero Trust architectures
  • Microsegmentation technologies
  • Vulnerability management platforms
  • Datacenter operations
  • MSP or MSSP environments
  • PowerShell or automation scripting
  • Fortinet technologies, * 4-6+ years of systems, networking, infrastructure, or IT support experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Desire to continuously learn and improve technically
  • Leadership or project coordination experience is a plus
