Job description
- Quality Standards Implementation: Enforce company policies and regulatory quality standards in all manufacturing processes.
- Product Testing and Evaluation: Perform, document, and analyze chemical and physical tests on in-process and finished goods.
- Auditing and Compliance: Conduct quality audits, identify deviations, and determine root causes for nonconformances.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate quality complaints with the production team and implement corrective actions per company and regulatory standards.
- Process Optimization: Develop, update, and implement quality control procedures to improve processes and product standards.
- Defective Product Management: Identify and handle rejected materials by overseeing reclassification, repairs, retesting, or removal from production.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records related to quality data, nonconformance findings, and experimental projects.
- Operational Audits: Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with procedures and suggest actionable improvements.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring quality issues and recommend process enhancements and standard updates for operational efficiency.
- Technical Support: Provide guidance to department leaders on project work and experimental operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in metallurgy, chemistry, or a related field; OR equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance experience, preferably in industrial manufacturing., * Comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance principles, tools, and methodologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database tools.
- Strong mathematical ability, including statistical analysis and geometric concepts., * Analytical Acumen: Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and data analysis skills.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication for clear documentation and reporting.
- Reasoning & Adaptability: Ability to interpret technical information, solve abstract problems, and manage multiple tasks., * Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, with occasional exposure to moving machinery.
- Flexibility to work overtime or alternate shifts as needed by management.
- Comfortable in non-climate-controlled environments with frequent walking and climbing of stairs.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 15 lbs., * Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is required.
