Job description
We are seeking a Scientific Software Validation Associate to support validation of internally developed web-based utilities used for instrument data analysis and scientific data interpretation. The role will focus on manual validation and verification activities to ensure the software applications perform as intended and meet defined user and functional requirements. This position involves black-box validation of web applications, primarily through the manual execution of predefined validation test scripts and verification of expected scientific data outputs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with scientific datasets, laboratory instruments, or analytical software and be comfortable operating within regulated environments (e.g., GxP, FDA, or quality-controlled R&D environments)., * Execute manual validation test protocols and scripts for internally developed web applications used for instrument data analysis.
- Perform black-box validation activities to confirm application functionality against documented requirements.
- Validate scientific data outputs and analytical results generated by the software utilities.
- Document test execution results, deviations, and observations in accordance with validation procedures.
- Work closely with scientists, software developers, and quality teams to clarify expected workflows and outputs.
- Support preparation and maintenance of validation documentation, including test protocols, execution records, and summary reports.
- Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, or unexpected behavior observed during validation testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, Computers, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related scientific field.
- Experience working with scientific data analysis tools, laboratory software, or instrument-generated data.Strong computer proficiency and ability to work with web-based applications.
- Experience following structured protocols, validation scripts, or experimental procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills., * Experience working in regulated environments (GxP, FDA-regulated, or quality-controlled R&D).
- Prior experience with software validation or verification activities in life sciences or diagnostics.
- Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation data (analytical instruments, diagnostic platforms, sequencing, imaging, etc.).
- Experience supporting software validation documentation or quality processes.
