Job description
The Senior IT Field Support Technician provides onsite and remote technical support across clinical and administrative environments within the healthcare system. This role ensures that mission-critical systems-including workstations, clinical devices, telehealth equipment, and mobile technologies-operate reliably to support high-quality patient care. The technician will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, assist in technology deployments, and collaborate with clinical staff to maintain secure, efficient, and compliant IT operations., Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide onsite and remote support for desktops, laptops, printers, VoIP phones, company issued cellphones and jetpacks.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of applications.
- Escalate unresolved incidents to other team members.
Deployment & Lifecycle Management
- Perform imaging, setup, and deployment of new devices following standard build processes.
- Support asset tracking, maintenance, and replacement in accordance with lifecycle schedules.
- Install and ensure proper functioning of cabling, peripherals, and network-connected devices.
Customer Service & Collaboration
- Partner directly with nurses, physicians, and clinical staff to understand workflow impacts and resolve issues with minimal disruption.
- Communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical users.
- Provide training and guidance on the use of new hardware, software, and tools.
Compliance, Security & Documentation
- Follow healthcare security and privacy standards (HIPAA) when handling any devices or data.
- Ensure adherence to IT policies, data protection protocols, and change management procedures.
- Mentor and advise junior IT staff
Requirements
Required
- 5+ years of technical support or desktop support experience, preferably in a healthcare or regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office/Microsoft 365, basic networking, and common troubleshooting tools.
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs. and travel between sites as needed.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Certifications such as A+, Network+, CCNA, or similar.
- Bachelors or Associate degree in Information Technology., * Customer Focus - Prioritizes patient-care impacts and supports clinicians with urgency.

Work Environment
- Onsite in clinics, outpatient facilities and residential rehab facilities.
