Job description
- Makes final inspection of a wide variety of potentially complicated parts with very close tolerances, sub-assemblies and completed units.
- Makes disposition of rejects and checks completed units for workmanship and conformance to specifications using calipers, gauge blocks, optical devices, indicators, and meters.
- Provides contingency for Quality Inspectors. This requires working inspection knowledge for all inspected finished goods and components.
- Devises methods of checking unusual parts and determines allowable variations from standard.
- Provides technical and general support to the Quality Supervisor.
- Leads and/or assists with corrective action activities.
- Proves new parts, conducts or coordinates First Article Inspections (FAI's), enters and responds to MRR's, issues RMA's to customers, dispositions MRB area parts, conducts PPAP's, gage R&R studies, and aids in Continuous Improvement opportunities.

Requirements
- High school level education or equivalent and specialized training which may be obtained in vocational courses or on the job.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to type 35wpm
- CAD/SolidWorks experience not required, but would be a great addition.
- Prior Quality experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Basic understanding of math concepts and GD&T.
- Ability to use gauges and other devices to verify conformity to standards of a product.
- Requires a broad understanding of MRR's, RMA's, MRB's, PPAP's and R&R studies.
- Overtime will be required, as-needed.
