Summer IT Assistant (Technical Support Specialist)

Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES is seeking Summer IT Assistants (Seasonal Technical Support Specialists) to assist the Information Technology department staff with projects and tasks. Projects/tasks include, but are not limited to: receiving assets into inventory, performing physical inventory tasks, deploying new technology, moving equipment across/within campuses, staging equipment for building activities, reconnecting equipment, creating documentation, imaging/testing computers, patching computers, and other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and one (1) year of work experience installing, configuring and/or troubleshooting computer hardware and software., The ability to follow directions with a focus on quality work, attention to detail, and consistency. Able to work independently or with little to no supervision. Experience with PCs is a must. Successful candidates must have a positive, can-do attitude with a commitment to the BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
