Job description
Lead administration and lifecycle management of enterprise DevOps/MDE style platforms (e.g., Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, Splunk, Dynatrace, WebSphere/Liberty, UrbanCode Deploy). .Architect, implement, and maintain Windows Server and RHEL environments, including patching, hardening, monitoring, compliance, and incident response. .Oversee Active Directory and identity/access operations; lead security reviews, compliance audits, and privileged access governance for federal environments. .Provide senior level support for Apple macOS/iOS ecosystems (Jamf), ensuring a stable and secure developer workstation environment. .Direct and execute tool upgrades, migrations, cloud transitions, DR activities, and operational readiness reviews. .Develop and lead Ansible/Tower automation strategies for deployments, configuration management, and operational workflows. .Conduct advanced troubleshooting across distributed, cloud connected, and mainframe integrated environments. .Maintain high quality architectural documentation, SOPs, remediation actions, and security compliance artifacts. .Produce weekly status reports, incident summaries, and technical recommendations for agency leadership. .Mentor junior administrators and serve as a technical SME across the agency's infrastructure programs.
Requirements
Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance .Bachelor's degree +14 years of relevant IT experience .10+ years administering enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server infrastructure. .Expert level experience with DevOps platforms, toolchain upgrades, integrations, and operational architecture. .Strong background in virtualization (VMware/ESXi, Hyper V) and modern automation frameworks. .Advanced scripting expertise in Bash, Python, and PowerShell. .Deep familiarity with enterprise networking, authentication, TLS, certificates, and federal cybersecurity frameworks. .Proven ability to lead complex troubleshooting efforts involving multiple platforms and vendor technologies., Experience supporting federal agencies, large civilian/military environments, or regulated enterprise operations. .Familiarity with mainframe-connected systems, WebSphere/Liberty tuning, Splunk dashboards, and monitoring strategies. .Experience developing standards, runbooks, architecture documents, and operational governance processes., * Adv Adm - SysAdm & Scripting
