Job description

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Technician I to join our team at the Clinic in Jackson, TN. This role is concerned with all aspects of computer use within the Clinic, including consulting, instructing, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth and efficient technology operations., * Consult, instruct, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software issues within the Clinic environment.

  • Build and deploy new or replacement computer hardware and peripherals.
  • Serve as a super user with expertise in operating systems (Windows) and generic application functionality such as Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office, Email, and other common software.
  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software related issues.
  • Observe peripheral equipment and error messages to detect faulty output or machine stoppage.
  • Provide timely support to end users on a variety of technical issues.
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems efficiently.
  • Respond promptly to telephone calls, emails, and personnel requests for technical support.
  • Track and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution.
  • Escalate issues requiring additional attention to the appropriate department specialist.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems and common applications including Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office, and Email.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.
  • Experience building and deploying computer hardware and peripherals.
  • Excellent communication skills to provide clear instructions and support to end users.
  • Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritize effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to observe and diagnose equipment errors.
