Job description
- Architect efficient, high speed, reliable cloud solution for legacy software applications
- Apply IaC to deploy and manage cloud infrastructure
- Define migration path for legacy software applications to become cloud-native
- Guide migration and implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives
- Ensure performance capabilities and security of new software systems and architectures are consistent with mission requirements
- Support trade studies, CONOPs development, whitepapers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an ABET-accredited university and 8 years of experience in software engineering in a cloud environment OR
- Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an ABET-accredited university and 8 years of experience in software engineering in a cloud environment
- Ability to attain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
- Ability to attain and maintain Special Access Programs (SAP)
- Experience architecting, designing, and deploying cloud-native software solutions
- Experience leading a migration of legacy software systems to a cloud environment, including transformation to cloud-native
- Experience with Cloud infrastructure technology, e.g., Azure, AWS, Google
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes Container Strategies and Orchestration
- Experience working in Agile software development environment
- Ability to work on-site in Manhattan Beach (CA) or Melbourne (FL)
Benefits & conditions
Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $213,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
