Telecommunications Technician - [2 Years Experience Required]

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Field Technician to install, relocate, and repair telecommunications systems, including commercial phone, internet, and cable services. This role is essential to ensuring high-quality service delivery and system reliability for our commercial clients. This position services commercial clients only (no residential work).

Technicians should expect to work independently unless the Scope of Work (SOW) specifically requires more than one technician on-site., * Manage time effectively and work independently while following detailed work orders

• Pull, terminate, and manage various telecommunications cabling types
• Perform cable installations in accordance with industry standards
• Mount backboards, racks, and patch panels
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain telecom equipment and networks
• Maintain accurate service documentation and provide professional customer interaction, * Materials are provided in advance; you are expected to manage them and notify NDT if additional materials are needed
• All assignments are expected to be completed within a single day
• 100% completion required; incomplete or late work will result in no payment
• All deliverables must be submitted and approved prior to leaving the site
• Travel reimbursement is provided per mile from your home to the assignment and is considered a supplemental payment in addition to your assignment pay; no reimbursement is provided for the return trip
• Net 14 payment terms via direct deposit

Required Tools:

• Wire cutters
• Fish Tape
• Glow Rods
• Cordless drill
• Small hand tools such as screwdrivers
• Drywall/sheetrock hand saw
• Laptop (preferably Windows) and power cable
• The smartcell phone (with a data plan) and power cable

This position is classified as a 1099 independent contractor role. As a condition of engagement, you are required to provide proof of active insurance coverage. Proof of active insurance coverage is required. If you do not currently carry insurance, coverage must be obtained within 30 days of your start date and submitted to NDT., * Technical diploma in telecommunications or equivalent experience

• Minimum 2 years of telecom field experience
• Strong knowledge of telecom systems, equipment, and BICSI standards
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
• Valid driver's license with willingness to travel
