Job description

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:

  • Troubleshoots complex, hardware, software and network issues
  • Performs software deployments, patching and updates
  • Participates in infrastructure upgrades and migrations
  • Supports the implementation, operation, and sustainment of system security protections for training and simulation systems
  • Performs hands on configuration, troubleshooting, documentation, and change support for network and boundary components in a controlled environment
  • Performs scheduled maintenance and systems upgrades
  • Supports audits, inspections, and vulnerability remediation activities
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
  • Participates in special projects as required

Requirements

Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Education: HS diploma or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience

  • Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience; military and MTC experience preferred
  • Required Technical Skills:
  • Provides systems administration support for the design, integration, operation, and sustainment of enterprise systems
  • Performs ongoing system maintenance and supports system upgrades and migrations
  • Experience with account provisioning, permissions management, and troubleshooting within Active Directory environments
  • Familiarity with remote support tools, ticketing systems, and incident management processes
  • Working knowledge of firewall rules, traffic filtering, and access control
  • Working knowledge of configuration and management of core switches, remote nodes, and diverse communications hardware within controlled environments
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere and virtual machine management
  • Certification: SEC+ is required; Network+ will be considered
  • Security Clearance Level: Secret required
  • Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Must meet DoD 8570 IAM I certification (SEC+)
  • Superb communication skills
  • Must be able to perform with minimal guidance
  • Location: On Customer Site/moderate travel to other customer sites throughout Pacific AoR, Years of Experience 2 + years of related experience
