MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:
- Troubleshoots complex, hardware, software and network issues
- Performs software deployments, patching and updates
- Participates in infrastructure upgrades and migrations
- Supports the implementation, operation, and sustainment of system security protections for training and simulation systems
- Performs hands on configuration, troubleshooting, documentation, and change support for network and boundary components in a controlled environment
- Performs scheduled maintenance and systems upgrades
- Supports audits, inspections, and vulnerability remediation activities
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
- Participates in special projects as required
Requirements
Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Education: HS diploma or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience
- Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience; military and MTC experience preferred
- Required Technical Skills:
- Provides systems administration support for the design, integration, operation, and sustainment of enterprise systems
- Performs ongoing system maintenance and supports system upgrades and migrations
- Experience with account provisioning, permissions management, and troubleshooting within Active Directory environments
- Familiarity with remote support tools, ticketing systems, and incident management processes
- Working knowledge of firewall rules, traffic filtering, and access control
- Working knowledge of configuration and management of core switches, remote nodes, and diverse communications hardware within controlled environments
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere and virtual machine management
- Certification: SEC+ is required; Network+ will be considered
- Security Clearance Level: Secret required
- Required Skills and Abilities:
- Must meet DoD 8570 IAM I certification (SEC+)
- Superb communication skills
- Must be able to perform with minimal guidance
