Job description

The Data Analyst is responsible for analytics team. The group provides ad-hoc analytics and advanced AI and Machine learning based insights to drive and influence internal and external business decisions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: Work with team to review and extract knowledge out of an extensive body of existing data and will influence new data collection practices throughout the organization.

Review and utilize data to answer business questions, inform decisions, and provide guidance to mid- and senior leadership throughout the company.

Develop a business understanding of the construction process and all the data related to a given project.

Identify data required to answer business questions.

Discover and investigate potential connections between data points to enrich ad-hoc reporting.

Use Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) tools and process to collect, connect and validate data from a variety of sources for analysis.

Utilize mathematical, statistical, and graphing tools to analyze data.

Present analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Identify process bottlenecks related to the flow of information in unique construction projects that require customized solutions.

Develop and maintain customized processes and mechanisms of ensuring data consistency across multiple systems.

Create and maintain documentation and ensure proper usage of these custom solutions, including reports, dashboard, macros, etc.

Periodically conduct lifecycle analysis of a project as requested by management.

Continuously identify and learn new statistical tools and techniques.

Accurately collect requirements and estimating the efforts involved.

Independently work on projects and finish them within time and budget.

Demonstrate success developing a variety of software systems while taking on increasing responsibility for analysis, design, implementation, and deployment tasks.

Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred

Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary

Work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude

Oral and written communication skills as required for the position

Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player

Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

WHAT YOU BRING TO US: Bachelor's degree in Math, Engineering, Statistics, or related field

Minimum five years' experience in advanced Excel; Proficiency in VBA

Experience in BI and statistical software, such as SPSS, R or Python; preferred

Experience of statistical methods and outcome of data analytics efforts

Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience
