Job description

We are seeking a skilled Atlassian Cloud Migration Engineer to perform hands-on technical execution across a complex, multi-instance Data Center to Cloud migration involving Jira Software, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence. The candidate will be responsible for the direct technical work of the migration (configuring, scripting, testing, and validating) working as part of a structured migration team under the direction of a Migration Lead., * Execute migration tasks using Atlassian migration tooling including JCMA (Jira Cloud Migration Assistant) and CCMA (Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant)

  • Perform application-level migration work including automated migrations, manual configurations, and post-migration validation
  • Rewrite and refactor ScriptRunner Groovy scripts, JQL filters, workflow conditions, validators, and post functions for compatibility with the Jira Cloud API model
  • Recreate JSU and JMWE workflow automation logic in Jira Cloud-native equivalents including Automation for Jira and ScriptRunner Cloud
  • Execute user and group cleanup tasks including deduplication, invalid email remediation, and license rationalization across multi-domain user directories
  • May need to perform hands-on configuration of Atlassian Guard / Atlassian Access for SSO, SCIM provisioning, and identity policies
  • Reconfigure integrations post-migration including webhooks, mail handlers, application links, and third-party connections such as Exalate and ServiceNow
  • Support archiving activities for Jira projects, Confluence spaces, dashboards, and filters
  • Install, configure, and validate Marketplace apps in the cloud environment pre- and post-migration
  • Participate in UAT execution and staging environment setup, identifying and resolving issues surfaced during testing
  • Perform post-migration hypercare tasks including manual app configurations, permission scheme corrections, and issue resolution, * Achieve Unprecedented Clarity: You will replace ambiguity and data chaos with a single source of truth. Requirements

  • Minimum of two years as a client facing consultant
  • Technical proficiency across Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence - both Data Center and Cloud
  • Practical experience with JCMA and CCMA tooling
  • Strong ScriptRunner experience (Data Center and Cloud editions), including writing and refactoring Groovy scripts and JQL functions
  • Working knowledge of workflow automation tools including JSU, JMWE, and Automation for Jira
  • Experience performing user directory reconciliation and cleanup in large, multi-domain Atlassian environments
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Guard / Atlassian Access configuration including SAML/OIDC SSO and SCIM
  • Experience reconfiguring integrations such as webhooks, Exalate sync rules, and mail handlers in a cloud environment
  • Solid understanding of Jira permission schemes, project roles, workflows, and custom field configuration
  • Ability to work independently on assigned technical tasks and communicate progress clearly to a lead or project manager, * Experience with test management tools such as Zephyr Squad/Essentials
  • Familiarity with reporting tool migrations and cloud alternatives (e.g., replacing Dataplane Reports with Atlassian Analytics or Dashboard Hub)
  • Experience in environments involving large user populations, high app counts, and significant custom configuration
  • Atlassian certification(s) an asset
