Job description
CGI is looking for a Systems Administrator with a strong background in Linux administration, network operations, and application integration., Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems across production, staging, and development environments .Support and maintain network infrastructure, including routing, switching, firewalls, VLANs, and access control .Manage ticket-based operational workflows, including: oProvisioning virtual machines (VMs) oUpdating and validating firewall rules oInstalling approved software and performing system updates Database & Application Integration .Provide operational support for relational databases, including MS-SQL and MySQL .Work with configuration and data exchange formats such as JSON and YAML .Integrate and consume REST APIs for system interoperability, automation, and application deployment Programming & Scripting .Utilize knowledge of compiled languages (such as Java, C++) to support application builds, deployments, and troubleshooting .Use interpreted languages such as Python and JavaScript for scripting, automation, and operational tooling .Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure smooth integration between applications and infrastructure
Requirements
This position is located in our client's offices in either Pittsburgh, PA. Remote work is not an option.
This role supports a wide range of infrastructure tasks, including VM provisioning, firewall updates, software installation, database maintenance, and API-driven integrations. The ideal candidate thrives in a ticket-based operational environment and is comfortable working across diverse technologiesfrom system internals and networks to APIs and programming languages., 5+ Years of Experience .Linux Administration .Network Administration .Ticket-based operational processes, including: oVM provisioning oFirewall rule management oSoftware installation 2+ Years of Experience .Relational Databases (MS-SQL, MySQL) .Data Serialization Formats (JSON, YAML) .REST APIs .Compiled Languages (Java, C++) .Interpreted Languages (Python, JavaScript), Automation development experience with tools such as Ansible or Chef .Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) .Test case development using frameworks like JUnit or TestNG .Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools, * Firewalls

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $62,900.00 - $139,300.00.
