As a Senior Systems / Server Administrator, you will be part of our Senior Engineer or even our Cybersecurity & Compliance Teams - the group responsible for critical infrastructure, escalations, and advanced projects.
You will:
- Serve as a Level 3 escalation resource
- Own server, virtualization, and hybrid infrastructure environments
- Lead and execute complex deployments and migrations
- Act as a subject-matter expert (SME) across multiple client environments
- Help set technical standards and best practices across the organization
This is not a "ticket grinder" role. This is a trusted engineer role.
What You'll Be Working With
MSP Tooling (Real-World Experience Required)
- ConnectWise (ticketing / workflows)
- RMM platforms such as:
- NinjaOne
- ConnectWise Automate
- Similar enterprise-grade RMM tools
- Datto (or equivalent) for server backups and recovery
Infrastructure & Platforms (You Must Be an SME)
- Virtualization
- VMware (ESXi, vCenter)
- Hyper-V
- Servers & Infrastructure
- Windows Server (modern versions)
- Infrastructure design and deployment
- Storage, backup, and DR planning
- Hybrid Environments
- On-prem + cloud integrations
- Active Directory + Entra ID
- Microsoft 365
- Admin portals (Commercial, GCC, GCC High experience a plus)
- Identity, security, and tenant administration
You don't just "touch" these technologies - you own them.
What You'll Actually Do
- Resolve complex escalations that Level 1-2 can't handle
- Lead infrastructure projects from design to execution
- Stabilize and modernize client environments
- Serve as the senior technical authority on critical issues
- Mentor other engineers (without being used as free labor)
- Improve standards, documentation, and processes
- Work with leadership as a technical voice, not just an implementer
Requirements
- A true senior engineer, not just "tenured"
- Calm, methodical, and confident under pressure
- Someone other engineers come to for answers
- Tired of being stuck in a reactive MSP culture
- Looking for a place where your judgment is trusted

Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
- Currently working (or recently worked) as a Level 3 engineer at an MSP/MSSP
- Strong server and infrastructure background
- VMware and/or Hyper-V SME
- Experience with hybrid environments
- Deep familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration
- Comfortable owning responsibility - not just executing tasks
- Strong communication and documentation habits
Nice to Have
- GCC or GCC High exposure
- Compliance / security-aware mindset
- Automation and scripting experience
- Leadership or mentoring experience
