The Clinical Applications Coordinator at Reno-Sparks Indian Colony plays a pivotal role in enhancing healthcare delivery through the support and customization of essential software systems like the Resource Patient Management System (RPMS), Electronic Health Record (EHR), and NextGen. This position involves meticulous reviews of site parameters and local tables to ensure accuracy and completeness, fostering a culture of accountability regarding data validity. By providing comprehensive training across departments, the Coordinator emphasizes the importance of timely and accurate electronic record management while promoting a positive environment for reporting any system deficiencies. Collaborating closely with the IT Manager and serving as a vital resource for integrated software operations, this role also engages in troubleshooting and supporting the development and implementation of applications for the Indian Health Service (IHS).
Requirements
To thrive as a Clinical Applications Coordinator at the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony, candidates must possess a robust educational background with an Associate of Arts (AA) Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, specifically with databases. Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records, ICD coding, and SQL is essential, along with a solid understanding of HIPAA regulations and clinical software applications. Candidates should demonstrate at least one year of experience in network and hardware configuration within an enterprise environment, showcasing their ability to manage complex IT systems effectively.
Preferred certifications in Database Administration will enhance a candidate's profile, highlighting their technical expertise. Additionally, strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital for collaborating with departments, providing training, and fostering a positive atmosphere for reporting system deficiencies and improvements. The ability to think critically and problem-solve will be crucial in ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of health information technology systems., + Associates of Arts (AA) Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science and/or 2+ years of direct experience with databases. Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records, lCD and SQL. Knowledge of HIPAA, clinical software and understanding of active directory and software backups.
- Certifications in Database Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 1 yr experience with network and hardware configuration in an enterprise environment.
