Job description
We are looking for a QA Tester to perform manual and automated testing of websites and ETL processes, develop test cases, and work across various functions at the client site. This position will be full-time, on-site, and a long-term contract. This position is 35-hours/week.
Only work authorizations not requiring sponsorship now or in the future will be considered. Local candidates only, please.
Our client's current IT landscape primarily includes .NET, SharePoint, Java, and AS/400 with SQL Server, Postgres, and DB2 database backends. The following project management methodologies are adopted: Hybrid Agile/SCRUM (software development) and Waterfall (infrastructure projects).
What You'll Do
- Perform manual and automated testing of websites and ETL processes
- Develop test cases and test data setup
- Create and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and requirement traceability documents
- Conduct data analysis, validation, and verification to ensure accuracy in workflows and processes
- Perform performance testing and test effort estimation
- Collaborate with developers, business product owners, and other stakeholders across various functions
- Other duties as requested
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in UI and data-related testing
- 3+ years of SQL experience with a strong understanding of RDBMS concepts and ability to write complex queries
- 6+ years experience with hybrid Agile/SCRUM and Waterfall
- Expertise in manual testing covering functional, non-functional, and analytical testing
- Solid experience in test automation using Selenium/WebDriver, including developing test cases and test data setup
- Ability to understand complex business processes, workflows, and technical aspects of applications
- Experience preparing requirement traceability documents and creating test plans and detailed test cases
- Strong communication skills to interact with senior developers and business product owners
- Highly motivated self-starter and team player with the ability to work under minimal supervision
Preferred:
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and TFS.
- Experience with JMeter and HP ALM/QC.
- Knowledge of .NET, AS400/DB2 (IBM i), SSIS, SSMS, PGADMIN, Python, SAML, and RPA.
Physical Demands
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
- Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person.
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
