Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated IT Field Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional technical support across diverse client environments. In this role, you will be the frontline problem solver, traveling to client sites to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of IT infrastructure components. Your expertise will ensure seamless operation of computer systems, networks, and hardware, empowering organizations to operate efficiently and securely. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about technology, customer service, and hands-on problem solving., * Provide on-site technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across multiple client locations

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices
  • Diagnose and resolve software problems related to operating systems such as Windows and macOS
  • Manage computer networks including LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and switches to ensure optimal connectivity and security
  • Support IT infrastructure components like servers, BMC Remedy ticketing system, ServiceNow, Jira, and other help desk tools for efficient issue tracking
  • Conduct routine maintenance on computer hardware and software to prevent downtime
  • Assist with software troubleshooting for applications including Microsoft Office suite and other enterprise tools
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and communicate technical solutions clearly and effectively

Requirements

  • Proven experience in technical support or desktop support roles with a focus on computer management and networking
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, Linux, and related troubleshooting techniques
  • Familiarity with computer hardware components such as motherboards, hard drives, RAM, printers, etc.
  • Experience configuring and managing network devices like LANs, VPNs, firewalls, switches, and routers
  • Proficiency with help desk ticketing systems such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow or Jira for issue tracking and resolution management
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
  • Ability to work independently in the field while maintaining a high level of customer service excellence
  • Knowledge of software troubleshooting procedures for common enterprise applications including Microsoft Office suite
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for travel between client sites
