Join our dynamic team as a Wheelchair Technician, where you'll play a vital role in enhancing mobility and independence for our clients. This energetic position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of wheelchair equipment, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal performance. You'll work hands-on with various mechanical components, utilize specialized tools, and collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver exceptional service.   • Diagnose mechanical issues by interpreting schematics and technical manuals, ensuring accurate troubleshooting.
  • Calibrate electronic components and systems to meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document service activities, track repairs, and schedule preventive maintenance.
  • Conduct field service visits to client locations for on-site repairs, adjustments, and assessments of wheelchair equipment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure wheelchairs meet individual client needs and safety requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records of all repairs, calibration procedures, and equipment inspections in compliance with industry standards.
  • Deliver and instruct clients on how to operate power wheelchairs in a home setting.
  • Pick up power wheelchairs from clients who need repairs.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Schematics?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair or maintenance roles.

  • Familiarity with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and specifications for mobility devices.
  • Experience working with CMMS software for tracking service history and scheduling maintenance tasks.
  • Strong understanding of schematics, technical manuals, and calibration procedures related to wheelchair systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and computer hardware effectively in a field service environment.
  • Knowledge of DME (Durable Medical Equipment) regulations and standards is highly desirable.
