Job description
The Florida Senate Office of Information Technology is hiring a .NET Technical Lead / Software Team Leader to lead the design, development, and evolution of modern applications used across the Senate organization. Our development team builds internal systems using technologies such as .NET, Angular, SQL Server, and Azure DevOps in a collaborative environment focused on delivering practical, reliable solutions.Senate IT offers the opportunity to work on meaningful engineering challenges while maintaining a healthy work-life balance within a supportive and collaborative team environment.This position is based in Tallahassee, Florida and requires on-site work.Financial Disclosure: Pursuant to sections 112.3144 and 112.3145, F.S., this position is required to electronically file a Form 1 -Statement of Financial Interests with the Florida Commission on Ethics within 30 days of hire., * Lead and mentor a team of developers with a range of experience levelsHelp drive technical direction, architecture, and development standards for new applications and system improvementsBuild and maintain applications using .NET and modern web frameworks such as AngularDesign and implement APIs and application servicesContribute to the most complex portions of application developmentConduct code reviews and promote development best practicesMaintain and enhance existing applications and systems*Work collaboratively in an Agile development environment
Requirements
Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, mathematics, or engineering and four years of progressively responsible information systems experience. Progressively responsible information systems experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education. Any combination of progressively responsible information systems experience and post-secondary training in disciplines as described above totaling eight years.Preferred Qualifications Experience with: Angular, React, or BlazorCI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflowsSQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)Microsoft SharePoint development or API integrationMicrosoft development tools including Azure DevOps and Visual StudioAgile or Scrum development environmentsCandidates who do not meet every preferred qualification but have relevant experience are encouraged to apply.SalaryAnticipated hiring salary range, $95,000 - $115,000
