Roles & Responsibilities Enterprise Regression Governance

Definition of enterprise regression scope and coverage models

Governance of critical business flow coverage across portfolios and releases
-
Regression readiness governance (coverage, data, environment alignment)
-
Cross portfolio regression coordination and conflict resolution
Automation Governance & Standards
-
Definition and enforcement of automation standards, frameworks, and design principles
-
Governance of script redundancy, flakiness, and maintainability
-
Tracking and governing self healing automation adoption
-
Automation lab governance (standards, access, compliance)
AI Governance in QA
-
Governance of AI usage in QA (e.g., test generation, defect prediction, self healing)
-
Definition of AI quality, ethics, explainability, and auditability standards
-
Approval and oversight of AI use cases from a risk and compliance perspective
-
Tracking AI KPIs, ROI, and adoption maturity
Metrics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Definition and tracking of performance KPIs, risk indicators, and compliance metrics
-
Translating performance data into executive level insights
-
Using production feedback to drive governance improvements* CI/CD & DevOps Governance

Governance of automation and regression integration into CI/CD pipelines

Definition of automation related quality gates and release criteria

Collaboration with DevOps teams on pipeline compliance and standards

Governance & Reporting
Requirements
-
5-8 years of overall experience in test automation, regression testing, or quality engineering, with at least 2-3 years in an enterprise governance, architect, or standards role
-
Experienced in working in a TCOE environment

Proven experience defining and enforcing enterprise wide regression and automation strategies ,frameworks across multiple applications, portfolios, or vendors
-
Prior hands on automation background earlier in career, providing credibility to govern standards and challenge delivery teams (execution experience required historically, not in current role)
-
Experience operating in large, distributed Agile and hybrid delivery environments
-
Exposure to AI assisted testing or intelligent automation initiatives, including governance of usage rather than development
-
Experience participating in release readiness reviews, regression sign off forums, and risk acceptance discussions
