EEC Solutions is currently looking for The Front Desk and Discovery Resource Center (DRC) Support Specialist. This full-time position is assigned to the M-FRC at Travis, AFB. Qualified candidates currently living in designated HubZone areas are encouraged to apply., The Front Desk and Discovery Resource Center (DRC) Support Specialist position ensures seamless front desk operations and resource center support to maintain mission readiness and a professional customer experience.
This position will serve as the first point of contact for military members, families, civilians, and contractors, providing administrative support, information and referral services, and technical assistance. This role helps sustain an organized, responsive, and compliant environment that upholds Air Force standards and values., 1. Opening & Closing Procedures:
- Open and close the M&FRC and DRC in accordance with established procedures.
- Power on/off equipment, log computers, restock printers, and maintain signin logs.
- Secure and inventory computer equipment daily; report loss or damage within 30 minutes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas, including trash removal and recycling.
- Customer Service & Client Support:
- Greet and log all clients using AFFIRST and/or signin sheets.
- Assist with Personnel Readiness Inventory (PRI) and Statements of Understanding.
- Provide Information & Referral (I&R) services, directing clients to appropriate resources.
- Verify eligibility of patrons using military/family/civilian ID cards before issuing materials.
- Support customers with computer use (e.g., resume formatting, job applications).
- Assist with appointment scheduling, workshop registration, and dissemination of information.
- Discovery Resource Center (DRC) Operations:
- Maintain and update job listings, resource racks, and literature.
- Monitor and troubleshoot printers, copiers, and computers.
- Manage checkin/checkout of materials and track overdue items.
- Enforce computer usage policies and conduct weekly security checks.
- Provide DRC orientations and maintain accurate usage logs in AFFIRST.
- Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Support:
- Collect, input, and maintain TAP documentation (e.g., DD Form 2648, rosters, handouts).
- Coordinate with the TAP Core Compliance Expert on attendance and reporting.
- Maintain data in AFFIRST and DoDTAP systems.
- Support workshop signups via walkins, email, or phone.
- Records & Compliance:
- Adhere to Air Force records management, FOIA, and Privacy Act standards.
- Maintain records in AFRIMS and return all materials to the Government upon completion of contract.
- Clear CAC/PKI certificates and temporary files weekly.
- Administrative & Program Support:
- Provide clerical support (printing, copying, mailing, collating, etc.).
- Maintain accountability statistics, logs, and reports for leadership.
- Record and distribute staff meeting minutes within two business days.
- Support leadership in ensuring DRC compliance and operational readiness.
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 college credit hours in social sciences, social work, or a related field; OR
- Prior experience in an Air Force Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) preferred., * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Basic troubleshooting skills for office equipment (printers, copiers, computers)., * Familiarity with military protocol, family systems, and available support resources.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse populations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

- Must maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality in accordance with commercial standards.
